Note: If you do not already have a hauler lined up, the one that seems to get high ratings on ebay is https://www.uship.com/. As a disclaimer, I know nothing about them other than they seem to be well-established, get good reviews, and give free estimates. Again, I know nothing about them so this is in no way a personal recommendation.

A Bit About The Bike:

This is a 1998 Harley Davidson Road King, FLHPI Police Model. It has as 62,853 miles on it, but only about 5,000 miles on the Harley Davidson factory rebuilt engine!

First offered in 1994, the Harley-Davidson Road King is the direct descendant, and the replacement of, the Electra-Glide Sport. Harley-Davidson made this special edition of the Road King, dubbed the FLHPI model, specifically engineered for police and fire/rescue departments. We have also seen it referred to as an FLHP-1 but all of the paperwork we have says FLHPI.

This bike started out its life at a police department in Florida. At some point between 1998 and about 2002, it was in an accident and declared "totaled" by the insurance company. It was then purchased by a friend who happens to be a retired motorcycle police officer who had served using this same model and wanted one of his own.

He had the bike completely rebuilt and customized by a shop in Canby, Oregon (hence the reconstructed title). Part of this process was to have the engine removed by the Harley dealership, sent back to the Harley Davidson factory, rebuilt, and reinstalled. In addition, our friend opted to have a heavy duty clutch installed (you will also receive the original clutch).

About two years ago, due to illness, he sold the bike to my father. But shortly after purchasing it, my Dad had hip surgery and no longer feels comfortable handling it. As a result, he has personally only put about one hundred miles on it.

It has been professionally restored, meticulously maintained and comes well documented with a whole folder full of records.

Tons of extras including the following:

  • Corbin seat with backrest.
  • Leather saddle bags.
  • Custom exhaust pipes (medium loud).
  • Clock.
  • Cover Max full cover.

The bike also has a LOT of Kuryakyn Equipment installed for a unique look. These include:

  • Grand Tour travel bag (part #4141) with mount kit (part #4175).
  • Highway Crash Bar pegs.
  • Passenger pegs.
  • Grips.
  • Chrome dipstick with lighted LCD oil temp readout.
  • Informer LED fuel and battery gauge (part #7282).
  • Front and rear light bars.
  • Rear light bar has flashing amber/red LED turn/brake lights.
  • Multiple lights in the frame consisting of eight colors that can be turned on to flashing or solid.

I've included pictures of the only flaws I could find, which consists of a small ding in the left hand side of the gas tank and a small area on the rear fender that shows some touch up paint.

Asking $8,950, we are pricing it lower than what has been put into it, but we will still entertain reasonable offer.
No trades, cash only. Please email with any questions and we will respond quickly.

NOTE:  Since you are not here in person to look at the bike, I wanted to provide the best photos that I possibly can.  Clicking on the pictures below will pull up full-sized, hi-res copies.  Be patient, they are large files.
